Originally from Chicago, I have worked in theatre and performance in London since 2005. I have a BA in English Literature and Theatre from Gettysburg College and an MA in Writing for Performance from Goldsmiths College University of London, where I completed a PhD in theatre and performance.

I am a writer, dramaturg, director, researcher and lecturer. I work in physical theatre, devised work, site-specific performance and new writing and am interested in making work that spans a variety of styles and approaches.

The kinds of subjects which interest me are examining contemporary politics through historical parallels, power structures, gender norms and idiosyncrasies of human behaviour. I also enjoy exploring approaches to adaptation, site-specific and interactive theatre through text. Over the years I have worked within a number of authorial models of collaborative theatre-making, in addition to my solo-authored work.

I am on a continual search for the creation of possibilities for making and teaching performance.
